Plain-language version first, then the details. Last updated 2026.

The short version

If you send a form, I keep what you typed so I can reply. If you join the list, I keep your email until you leave. The site measures traffic with Google Analytics. I don't sell or rent anything about you to anyone.

What I collect and why

• Callback and contact forms: name, phone, email, time zone, and your message, so I can call or write back. Stored in my email and a server log. Deleted on request.
• Calendar plan emails: your name, email, and the dates you entered, so I can send you the plan. Joining the Skip Winter list is part of that; leave any time with the link in each email.
• Newsletter: email and optional first name. Sent by me, occasionally, never sold.
• Analytics: Google Analytics 4 records pages viewed and which buttons are clicked (call, email, text, WhatsApp, calendar). It uses cookies. Your IP address is anonymized by Google. You can block it with any standard tracker blocker and the site works exactly the same.
• Server logs: the web server records IP addresses and pages requested for security, kept briefly.

Referral and affiliate links

When I link to a company that pays me a referral fee, the link may contain a tracking code so they know you came from here. I label these where they appear. The company's own privacy policy governs what they do once you're on their site.

Third parties

Google (Analytics, fonts), my hosting provider, and the email service that delivers the newsletter. That's the list.

Your rights

Ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it: hello@snowbirdmedellin.com. I answer within a week. Residents of the EU, UK, and California have specific statutory rights; the email above is how to exercise them.

Children

This site is for adults planning travel and isn't directed at anyone under 18.
